Renault begins Duster exports, 4WD model launch soon
The first lot of the Renault Duster aka Dacia Duster will set out from Chennai port for UK on November 30. Soon after, there will be other destinations on the target and Renault will be exporting to those destinations from India. As per the reports, the Duster that has been launched in UK as Dacia Duster has amassed over 1000 booking orders and the Indian plant will take care of the orders. In India, the Duster is enjoying excellent response and now spotting a Duster in prominent cities is easier. Experts believe that the Duster has showed that even foreign brand SUVs can get so much response.

Until now in this segment there was no foreign SUV and Duster is the first. However, the recent launch of the compact SUV Mahindra Quanto has put a brake on Duster popularity. But those who are in search of true SUV (Duster) and not a remake of MUV (Mahindra Xylo) go for Duster. It is said that Duster could soon outshine any of the best phases of the sales of other SUVs such as Tata Safari and Mahindra Scorpio. However, critics believe that the availability of only 2WD model and non availability of the seven seater model is a big minus for the duster. Also the waiting period on 85 PS diesel model was high and this could be a matter of worry as this is the best selling model of the Duster.

Now that Renault is exporting the Dacia Duster from India, it could be possible that sensing the demand for the 4WD Duster it could prepone the launch and a seven seater version is also said to be in the making. Already, dealers are providing two jump seats on customers demand. Meanwhile, Renault is also about to finalise the next line up of car launches in India.
