Renault Captur all set to steal the show with 27.77 kmpl ahead of Ecosport launch
There are some cars that can even threaten the big wigs. If the Ford EcoSport has set out on a journey to conquer Asia and Europe, it certainly will have resistance from a robust offering. And this car is no one but Renault Captur SUV that has just come and its bookings are on in Europe. Priced at €15,500 which is around Rs 10.88 lakh in India currency, the Captur is the most relevant rival of the upcoming Ecosport. It is also believed that Captur SUV is also hoped to enter India as soon as the car writes a success story in France. Offered in petrol and diesel engine options, the car is stunning both in looks and mileage. As per the Captur specifications it delivers a mileage of 27.77 kmpl which is well above any of the variants of Renault Duster or Ecosport.
Diesel cars are more than loved in India and if it is one that delivers so much then it is more than welcome. If Renault considers, it can very well launch Captur in India which will be filing the present void between the Duster and the Renault Koleos. Also, this SUV will be giving some tough time to Mahindra XUV 500 and Tata Safari Storme that are currently enjoying the feast. Also such a decent mileage is unheard in the segment as no other car in India delivers such promising mileage. The Chevrolet Beat Diesel hatchback is the highest mileage car and this car too has only 25.44 kmpl mileage.
As per the information available, the Captur will be offered in two petrol and one diesel engine options in Europe. The diesel model will have 90 PS engine while in petrol there will be 90 PS and 120 PS engine options. The dCi diesel engine is the same as this is under the hood of the Duster. In addition to this, there are all the up market features on Captur such as hill descent, hill climb features, reverse camera apart from many other features that are generally found on SUVs that are priced somewhere around Rs 18 lakh to Rs 19 lakh.
