Renault Duster hits Oman roads, Indian buyers kept waiting

The launch and unveiling of new Renault Duster at a sparkling ceremony held in Al Bustan Palace Hotel, Oman was attended by many dignitaries. Mustansir Lakdawala, Managing Director of Renault GCC announced that the versatile new beast of a car has been launched in both 4x2 and 4x4 versions. A K9K dCi engine will power both the variants and render 108 PS power to Duster and for a car of this size, this is absolutely superb. It has been rigorously tested in GCC conditions prior to launch and conforms to all their specifications and requirements.

It can be said that it is a perfect driving solution for all road and climatic conditions and particularly for the harsh conditions of Oman. However, the Indian buyers still have to wait till Diwali for this "outrageously affordable SUV". It is expected to launch in India at starting price of Rs. 8.5 lakh and will give tough time to close rivals like Tata Safari and Ford EcoSport.
