Finally, the moment of change is drawing near. Finally, the Renault Duster launch is about to happen. As per the official communication, Renault Duster launch is on July 4 in Delhi. The Duster launch in India is considered to be the major launch this year as it will be changing the way people looked at SUVs. This SUV is expected to upgrade many sedan car owners and will be putting forth an attractive offering for those who want a lot extra at little price. As per the launch invite, Mr. Marc Nassif Managing Director of Renault India along with all the management biggies from Renault India will be present at the event. Hopefully, Chennai roads along the Temple Bay area will witness a jam as it will be a grand event after some of the silent launches this year. This SUV by Renault is expected to make the turf a lot difficult for segment leaders such as Mahindra Scorpio or Tata Safari as the French car maker is highlighting it as being more affordable even than a sedan. In the teaser that it released recently, it showed people literally weeping that they have bought a sedan when they could have a 4.3 m long robust SUV at the same price.
In India, the Duster SUV has a sole almost dormant rival in the form of Premier Rio right now but in the near future it will have to face Ford Ecosport and Maruti XA Alpha slated to be launched during festive season or early next year. The expected price of the SUV is wondered to start around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 8 lakh and at this price, Renault is expected to offer what Rs 10 lakh SUVs could not offer. To be launched in petrol and diesel variants, the Duster SUV will be offering class leading mileage on diesel. There will be two engine options under the hood, 1.6 L petrol motor or 1.5 L dCi diesel motor. Both these engines have proven capabilities in terms of power delivery as well as mileage.
