Renault Duster not launching in June, date pushed to Diwali!
As per the latest buzz, Renault Duster SUV is not expected to be launched in India this June. However, the official website of Renault India says that the Renault Duster is coming in June. Another reason why the SUV could be coming later in the year is that Renault could preserve the festive time for the launch of its second SUV in India after the already launched Renault Koleos. The SUV which is believed to be the entry level SUV by Renault India will be produced in India at the Chennai plant and is expected to be exported to UK from India. The Renault Duster price is expected to be Rs 8.5 lakh.

The recent revelation that the Renault Duster launch will not be in June is a major shock for the Industry that was eagerly waiting for the SUV. Now the Duster will be launched in India during the festive season when there are already lots of launched slated by almost all the car makers. Earlier, Renault has planned to launch the SUV in June so that by the time Diwali comes, the SUV will comfortably settle down in the market. The fresh too has no faults in it as the Diwali launch will keep the SUV fresh in the minds of the car buyers and the car maker need not pitch in a fresh promotional drive on Diwali.

The Renault Duster for India will be using the 1.5 L dCi engine that Renault is using in other cars such as Renault Pulse but the power of the engine will be stepped up to 80 bhp or above. The petrol engine could be derived from Nissan Sunny or Renault Fluence. As per sources, Renault Duster will be available in India in the two wheel drive model only even if the all wheel drive version is produced for UK.
