Renault Duster price to land under Rs 6 lakh!
Renault seems to have decided to take the Indian car market by storm. In less than a year, the car maker has launched three cars in a row – Renault Fluence sedan to start with followed by Renault Koleos SUV and then the small car Renault Pulse. But all these were believed to be priced more than the expectations of the car buyers. Now the latest buzz is that the upcoming Renault SUV – Renault Duster could have a price tag of under Rs 6 lakh. If this wish could turn into reality, expect only one thing and that is high bumper sales. The Duster compact SUV launch is expected to be round the corner and was initially expected to be priced Rs 8.5 lakh.

However, expecting such a car at this price is expecting oasis in the desert. All the more when there is only a sole player in the market – Premier Rio and there is open ground for the Duster to check in. Besides, expecting SUV of even this size and that too from a foreign car maker is too much. But, it will be in the interest of the car buyers in India. It will be though a bad news for Ford Ecosport that still carries an expected price tag of Rs 8.5 lakh. Meanwhile, it will also disrupt the price determination of Maruti XA Alpha SUV.

The Duster will be the fourth car offering from the Renault stable and another car – the fifth one could be the Nissan Sunny based sedan – Renault Scala. As per the buzz, the Duster will have Sunny’s engine line up under the hood and thus it will have a 1.5 L petrol and 1.5 L dCi diesel engine. Besides this, the car maker will be making it more attractive with a lot of other features such as ABS, EBD, airbags besides up market features such as keyless entry and leather upholstery. It is sure that at this price, Renault cannot afford to provide the same European model and so the Duster will be highly Indianised with high level of local content. Production of Duster is expected to begin in coming July.

Price of Duster below 6 lacs,is utterly unbelievable.But if that happens,without stripping down to bare basics,Renault dealers will face stampede like situation when the booking starts.Renault now should release well thought out ad campaign of Duster,coz,people at large dont have much idea about it.
Truly SUV looks as the front view is quite attractive and has typical SUV feel ....Rare view could have been better Side view is quite complete one and in totality gives you strong Muscular feel ,the one which every one aspire from SUV.
Really shocking Renault Duster comes in price tag of 6 lakh.....nice car....luxurious looks.... i love it......:)

I am very impress of Renault Duster car. because Its meter console, semi hooded instrument binnacle with colored outlining, fully closable AC vents, red gauges with a digital display and the power window arrangement will remind you of Logan. The three spoke flat unit, steering wheel, door sills, music system, Bluetooth, aux input functions, two electrically programmable front seats (without memory function), roominess with high-quality material are added merits to the lavishness of the car.
