Renault Duster sales stood at 5362 units in April 2013
Renault Duster, the most popular compact SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) car model by French carmaker Renault, has done very well in Indian domestic market in the month of April 2013. Renault India has disclosed the sales figures for the month of April this year with a 10 fold rise. The total sales of company were stood at 6,314 units from 615 units in the same month of year 2012. The company had sold 5,362 units of its popular compact SUV Duster in last month.
Meanwhile the sales of the mid-size sedan Renault Scala were 545 units. The company has sold 358 units of premium hatchback Renault Pulse, 10 units of entry level luxury SUV Renault Koleos and 39 units of luxury sedan Renault Fluence. Continuously, the Duster SUV is dong very and has been a flagship model for the company. It is being offered in three engine options from power wise like 1.6L petrol, 85PS diesel and 110 PS diesel. Since launch, the Renault SUV has been a rigid competitor of Mahindra Scorpio, Force One and Mahindra XUV 500.

In Association with Nissan Motors, the Renault India has installed a manufacturing plant at Oragadam, near Chennai which has a total production of 4 lakh units per annum. At present, the French auto major has over 100 dealerships across the country and has very strategic plans about expansion of dealership network to reach the every part of the country.
