Renault India Touches The Milestone of 9 Lakh Unit Sales
Renault India, the Indian alliance of the French carmaker Renault has proudly announced its significant achievement in India. In a statement from the company, it has achieved a milestone of nine lakh units in just 11 years of operation. The success can be attributed to Renault's popular product lineup, which includes the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber models. The company acknowledges that continuous product updates, extensive network expansion, technology-oriented innovation, and personalized customer service have been key contributors to this remarkable feat.

Renault currently has an extensive network of over 450 sales outlets and 530 service touchpoints across India. The company remains committed to expanding its presence further to provide exceptional customer service nationwide. Additionally, Renault aims to achieve 90% localization for its upcoming product range, aligning with the government's "Make in India" initiative. Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director of Renault India, expressed, "We have devised a robust plan to launch a locally-produced product range in India, focusing on high localization."
Renault's commitment to safety is evident in the impressive crash test ratings received by two of its popular models, the Kiger and Triber. Both vehicles achieved a commendable 4-star adult safety rating in the Global NCAP crash tests. The Kiger is powered by a turbocharged 1.0L petrol engine, boasting an impressive fuel efficiency of 20.62 kmpl. On the other hand, the Triber features a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine generating 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque.
Renault's entry-level model, the Kwid, has also garnered significant success in the Indian market. In a recent study conducted by used-car retailing platform Spinny, the Kwid emerged as one of the best-selling used cars in the country. With an impressive 98% localization level, the Kwid underwent updates earlier this year to meet the latest emission and safety standards for 2023. The model now comes equipped with enhanced safety features, including ESP, Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, and TPMS as standard, ensuring compliance with future regulations.
Renault's commitment to product excellence, local manufacturing, and customer satisfaction has propelled the company to this impressive sales milestone. With an unwavering focus on innovation and expanding its network, Renault India remains dedicated to delivering exceptional driving experiences to its valued customers across the country.
