Renault KWID concept may go for production from next year
French car maker may finally start the production of its KWID concept Crossover car showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2014. Going through the increasing market of crossovers in Indian car market car maker seems to be in hurry to en-cash the prevailing craze towards crossovers.
The KWID concept car will be equipped with 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine developing the power of 123 bhp and torque of 175 Nm and could be offered with six speed manual transmission system followed by an automatic transmission system. An impressive feature of KWID concept car is expected to be its reconnaissance unit which moves towards downward direction making it easier for drive to have clear view of road. It is also speculated that company will launch the KWID concept in diesel variant also which would be enhanced with 1.5 litre DCi, four pot, turbocharged diesel engine and would be offered two power generating options i.e., 75 PS and 110 PS respectively.
After launch it is expected that car maker will launch KWID with price tag of 11,500 GBP( Rs. 11.31 lakh), however in Indian car market it could be launched with price tag falling between Rs. 8 lakh. It is expected to developed in Indian car market on the platform of its elder sibling Duster.
