Renault MPV Lodgy: Expected to be showcased during Indian Auto Expo 2014
Renualt India, the Indian division of French car maker Renault Motors is expected to showcase its MPV Lodgy in the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2014 along with facelift edition of its highly appreciated SUV duster, followed by Fluence, Koleos and also its concept car. Prior to this it was speculated that there will be not any new display by company during the auto expo. However now it is reported that company will display its MPV Lodgy during the show and will compete with existing MPVs like Ertiga from MSIL, Evalia from Nissan etc.
It is expected that Lodgy MPV will carry the same engine configurations 1.5 litre dCi and 1.6 litre petrol engine as mounted in its elder sibling Duster and may be offered with price tag in range from Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh. The MPV was first showcased during Geneva Motors Show 2012 and is being in sold under brand name of Dacia in International market, however in India it will be sold under the flagship of Renault. It is speculated that as it is an entry level model from company it will be launched with five speed manual transmission system with top end model equipped with six speed transmission system.
