Renault to launch Duster AWD on September 24, 2014
French car maker Renault is going to launch the all new AWD version of its highly acclaimed SUV Duster in Indian car market on Septembe 24, 2014. The major changes besides the enhanced chassis the AWD Duster would bestow additional features like multi functional steering wheel, sporty burnt red fabric upholstery, and three pot instrumentation cluster inside the cabin. On the exteriors it receives AWD badges followed by looks similar to adventure edition.
The AWD Duster would be empowered with 1.5 K9K dCi diesel engine boosting the power of 108.bhp at torque of 3900 rpm and torque of 248 Nm at 2500 rpm. The engine would be mated with six speed manual transmission system forwarding power to all four wheels. After launch the Duster AWD would compete against Scorpio 4x4 from Mahindra and Mahindra and Safari Storme 4x4 from Tata Motors. It is expected to deliver the fuel efficient figure of 19.72 kmpl.
