Renault to Launch Kaptur in September 2017
After enjoying over whelming success from the hatchback Kwid two years back in 2015 and compact SUV Duster in 2011, French car maker is going to launch its highly awaited SUV Kaptur in Indian car market. According to reports received from the authentic sources of company the car maker will launch this SUV in India sometimes during the month of September this and expects to repeat the same success as enjoyed by both above mentioned vehicles.

Under the hood Kaptur will be offered in diesel variant that will be empowered with 1.5 litre dCi engine which is same as offered in the Duster with option of boosting the power of 85 PS and 110 PS. However, as far as Kaptur is concerned it is speculated to generate more power with improved performance. It is also reported that car maker might also introduce new turbocharger engine in Kaptur to break the trend of not installing turbocharger engine configuration in its vehicles.

Talking about the looks of Kaptur, it is said that it carries the same looks as its version sold in Russian car market. However still it gets some iteration in form dynamic look with logo of Renault mounted over the front grille. Apart, from this the front fascia also sports sleek headlight layout with projector lights followed by LED DRLs integrated at the front bumper. Inside the cabin it will adorn seven inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Bluetooth and also with satellite navigation system. These features will however be offered in top end variant of the SUV. After launch the Kaptur will compete against Hyundai Creta and Mahindra XUV500 and others in the segment.
