Renault to launch Lodgy in Indian car market by 2015

French car maker Renault Motors is speculating to launch its Lodgy MPV in Indian car market sometimes during the beginning of next year. The expected upcoming MPV Lodgy is developed on new platform by company’s subsidiary Dacia and introduced during Geneva Motor Show 2012. The MPV will be tough contender to Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo, Tata Aria and Evalia from Nissan.
 
The Indian version of Renault Lodgy MPV is expected to be offered in both petrol and diesel guise and carry its engine configuration from Duster, with petrol variant equipped with 1.6 litre petrol engine and diesel with 1.5 litre diesel engine.The petrol version will develop the power of 102 bhp and torque of 145 Nm while the diesel variant will develop the power of 84 bhp and torque of 200 Nm.Besides the above mentioned specifications the Lodgy is expected to be blessed with few surgeries which may include broader front grille which might be similar to one offered in Koleos and Fluence.
 
It will have wheelbase of 2,810 mm and will be offered with option of five seats and seven seats. According to reports company will commence the production of Lodgy at Renault’s Oragadam plant in Chennai from December 2014. To know more about Lodgy stay tuned with carkhabri.
