Revamped V Class MPV unveiled by Mercedes Benz

With an objective to provide complete comfort travelling experience to family of eight members German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz has unveiled the modified version of its V-Class which was phased out in 1998. The re-unveiled vehicle has been launched to roll out Viano, company’s existing MPV. The new V-Class has been offered with two wheelbase options followed by seating option of 2+2+2 or a 2+3+3. According to company sources the European model will be offered with option of single kerb side rear sliding door or two rear sliding doors.
 
The new V-Class is expected to be offered with two engine options of 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel or a 2.1-litre BlueTec hybrid in United Kingdom. The 2.1 litre four cylinder model will generate the power of 161 bhp and torque of 380 Nm, whereas the hybrid model will develop the power of 188 b hp and torque of 440 Nm. Company has endorsed that the new engine configuration will deliver superior performance and fuel efficiency then compared to existing MPV Viano.
 
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Division said that by offering the new V Class company is exploring its range of premium passenger cars. He also added that the new V Class carries the features of both saloon and an MPV, which is rare combination and not found in any vehicle in the same segment.
 
The new V Class MPV is blessed with spacious and luxurious cabin which is equipped with newly designed dashboard followed by latest edition of company’s Comand infotainment system. As well as steering wheel and other mechanical features are concerned they have been carried from C-Class saloon sedan. Apart from this V Class is also bestowed with various safety features which include blind spot assist system, fatique detecting system, crosswind assist system, six airbags and many more.
