Rolls Royce’s new dealership in Chandigarh

Rolls Royce is slowly but surely setting its foot on the Indian soil. On Wednesday, the auto giant made announcement of its fourth dealership in the country. This, according to the company, is a result of the bettering demands of Rolls Royce cars in the Indian auto market.

The new dealership is being set up in Chandigarh, and will be open for buyers by the second quarter of this year. It will be managed by Select Cars Private Limited, which is the same group that is behind Rolls Royce, New Delhi. The dealership in Chandigarh will prove to be helpful for potential buyers in Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab. This will be the fourth dealership of Rolls Royce in India, after its dealerships in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

The British company is planning on setting up two more dealerships in the country, which will probably be located in Central and Southern India. This will take the total number of dealerships to six by the end of 2012.

According to company officials, adding another dealership in the company will prove to be fruitful for the company, and looking at the past data of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh is the perfect place to start the plan of expansion with. The company officials also added that the company is in talks with some big names to set up two more Rolls Royce dealerships in the country, which is a part of company’s growth plans for the country.

The company launched the sixth Rolls Royce model in India, which is Ghost’s Extended Wheelbase version. This is an addition to company’s line-up in India, and is mainly the effect of Rolls Royce Ghost’s amazing success in the Indian auto market. The new Rolls Royce Ghost has enormous cabin space, with the rear passengers getting 170mm more room in it.
