Self-driving car out in the open by Toyota at CES
Guess who is planning to showcase a self-driving car at CES? It’s none other than Toyota Motors. After Google and premium car maker Volvo, Toyota has also prepared itself to showcase its Lexus AASRV or Advanced Active Safety Research Vehicle at the CES. This ASSRV from Toyota is actually a modified Lexus LS 600H that has been accompanied by cameras, radar and a laser system, which will help the car to recognize the surrounding environment. To tease its fans, Toyota had also posted a small five-second preview of the car, where the car is driving along a track at great speed.

The company is likely to hold a press conference this Monday, where the firm will be describing the car and its technology. Besides Toyota, Audi will also be present at the show, also displaying the self-parking featured car, which is becoming quite common these days. To Toyota’s competition, Google’s self-driving car will also show up at the show.

No other details have been provided by Toyota about the car so far and hopefully all things will be made clear on the conference, which is scheduled for this Monday. While we are talking about Toyota, it has been doing quite well in the Indian car market as well. Its MPV, Toyota Innova is the most dominating one here. Apart from that Toyota Corolla Altis sedan, which is a premium sedan is also quite prominent in the country. So far for Toyota Kirloskar India, there will no self driving cars for the time being. Obviously, it will take time to bring in such kind of technology to India. However, with the Indian car bazaar flourishing with this speed, hopefully India will get this kind of car and surprise he car fanatics here.
