Self-Driving Cars: Will They Be For Everyone?
The concept of self-driving has been undertrials from the last few years, but still, the dream of driving such cars doesn’t seem possible in the coming years. However, if you think about the life it will be in the next four to five decades you will get lots of answers from the enthusiasts and self-driving cars will be one of them. There are lots of car enthusiasts who believe that the next decade will witness such cars driving on the roads without any difficulty and will change the lives of people to a huge extent.

This although at first instance sounds unrealistic, but going ten to fifteen years back we will see that how the emergence of smartphones changed human life by bringing the whole in their fingertips through a small device. The same can be said for self-driving cars in the current scenario because today the whole world is talking only about electronic and autonomous cars. Moreover, going through the new techniques being initiated by the carmakers like Tesla Motors, the target of traveling in such cars is not far away. Today there are lots of car manufacturing companies like Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Honda, Volkswagen, and Tesla, even Google, who are trying their hands in bringing a well-developed autonomous car for the masses.
Although, the answer to this question is hidden in the future, but will these cars be suitable for everyone. Interestingly according to the existing situation, it can be said of-course not. The high cost of these cars will restrict the masses from buying them. However, at the same time, it is also believed that going through technological developments across the world, the cost of manufacturing such cars will come down.
Moving ahead, in the beginning, these cars will be first used for taxi purpose (Level 5) or as self-driving shuttles in campuses of the large organizations, or during sports events or the of your company receiving you and other employees of your group from the remote parking space. But, that means there would be lots of drivers who will lose their jobs with the entrance of such vehicles. Moreover, as these cars will drive on the data saved with them, it would be interesting to see how they move from in the heavy traffic. Yet the cities where the condition of traffic is managed properly and where the traffic is comparatively low, these cars will change the lives of people.
