Skoda Adds the Monte Carlo Variant In Kushaq’s Fleet
Skoda India, the Indian partner of the Czech car manufacturer, has added the Monte Carlo variant to the family of its compact SUV Kushaq. The Monte Carlo variant is priced between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The newly introduced variant will be placed above the existing Style variant. Following the company’s strategy, the Kushaq also comes with contemporary features that enhance the premiumness of the compact SUV.

With the introduction of the new Monte Carlo variant, the Czech carmaker also pays tribute to the company’s heritage and pedigree in motorsport and rallying. As the Kushaq has received an encouraging response from the Indian buyers after its launch, there were no doubts about introducing its Monte Carlo edition. It is available in two colour options including Candy White and Tornado Red followed by the Monte Carlo badges studded on the front fenders.
Mechanically, similar to the Style variant, it is also offered with an option of a 1.0-litre TSI and a 1.5-litre TSI engine option. The 1.0-litre TSI engine generates the power of 113 bhp and the torque of 175 Nm and is available with an option of a six-speed manual gear transmission system, and a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre TSI engine boosts the power of 148 bhp and the torque of 250 Nm. The transmission duties in this trim are performed by a six-speed manual gear transmission system and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This trim is also equipped with red front brake callipers to make it different from the 1.0-litre engine.
Inside the cabin, it receives new red accents on the door panels and interior door handles, central console, and the dashboard. The seats also receive new treatment in the form of dual-coloured red and black leather upholstery along with a Monte Carlo badge on headrests. The door armrest and the front centre armrest also receive the red stitches. The interior also receives the Monte Carlo scuff plates and red ambient lighting. The other notable features available on the interior front are an eight-inch fully digital virtual cockpit, aluminium foot pedals, and a ten-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a new red theme. The list of additional features includes connectivity with an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, a sunroof, and ventilated front seats.
On the exterior front, it is developed with the latest and stylish features like a grille surrounded by the glossy black colour treatment, trunk garnish and ORVMs, and front and rear skid plates. It also receives a carbon steel roof complimented by black roof rails and dark chrome garnish on door handles. Apart from the Monte Carlo logo on the front fender, the rear portion receives the Skoda and Kushaq loos. It continues to receive the signature Crystalline LED headlamps with DRLS, and Crystalline split LED lamps.
