Skoda Commences Bookings of Facelift Rapid @ Rs. 25,000

Czech car maker Skoda has commenced the bookings of facelift Rapid sedan slated for launch on November 3, 2016 at the down payment of Rupees 25,000 and to make way for it company has also offered the discount of Rs. 75,000 on the existing stock of Rapid. The generation next Skoda Rapid comes with vast cosmetic upgrades on both exterior and interior segments.

The most notable upgrade offered on Skoda Rapid is angular design offered at the front fascia followed by newly developed bumper. As the new Rapid has been developed on same platform as used for developing its siblings Octavia and Superb it is speculated to outsource same square shaped headlamps, grille and lower bumper as offered in these sedans. Moving inside the cabin you will find slight changes in form of spacious cabin enriched with comfortable seats and features comprising of enlarged touch-screen infotainment system. On safety terms the new Skoda Rapid will be equipped with dual front airbags as standard feature, apart from this it will also embellish safety features like Brake Assist, Hill Hold Control, ESP and few more.

Under the hood will be equipped with both petrol and diesel powertrains comprising of 1.6 litre petrol engine generating the power of 103 bhp and torque of 153Nm, while the diesel variant will be empowered with 1.5 ltire diesel engine churning the power of 1.09 bhp and torque of 250Nm. The duties of transmission system will be looked by five speed manual gearbox as standard feature followed by an option of seven speed DSG gearbox.

As far as price of Skoda Rapid 2016 is concerned it is anticipated to be priced in the range of Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh and will compete against the rulers like Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Volkswagen Vento.
