Skoda India sees a 43 percent growth in November 2011
Skoda Auto India – an entirely owned subsidiary of Czech Republic has reported a 43 Percent growth in the sales for Nov’11 over the previous year’s figures in the very same month. Skoda India has seen a decent hike of 2,627 units this year over the last year’s figure of 1841 in the month of November.
The company which has now come into C segment cars in India with its newly launched Rapid, hopes to do well in the most competitive segment , as it has already reserved over 1600 bookings so far, so Rapid.
Skoda Rapid, the all new segment C car has been especially crafted for Indian roads and people at the company’s Chakan facility and was released on November 16th this year.
Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Skoda India Board Member (Sales & Marketing) said that the company, which has recently stepped in India’s most competitive segment C with the Rapid is likely to become the bestseller within the Skoda India’s home brands.
Skoda Auto India is now placing its focus more on to increase Dealership and after-sales service network to augment the overall visibility and customer experience correspondingly. Company has reported to take its dealership to 100 by the end of year from existing 90.
The all new Skoda Rapid is competing with the likes of Hyundai Verna Fluidic, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Ford Fiesta and Nissan Sunny, which are so far the best doing C segment cars in India.
