Skoda Kamiq Caught Under Trial For The First Time In India

With life turning to normalcy after lockdown, the auto manufacturing companies have also started their operational activities following the guidelines issued by the central government.  Recently, the spies captured the first glimpse of Kamiq SUV from the Czech carmaker Skoda being tested on the Indian roads for the first time. The Skoda Kamiq is believed to be launched during the earlier next year and will go against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, and others in the segment. The unit of Kamiq undergoing the test drive was completely uncovered and therefore the spies were able to capture its clear picture from the rear portion.

According to the image the rear portion of Kamiq receives the “Skoda” logo studded on the tailgate followed by the black-cladding on the rear bumper L-shaped LED taillights and many more. The rear portion will also carry the butterfly grille, split-LED headlamp design, etc. It will also receive the sloping roofline, shark fin antenna, roof rails, L-shaped LED split taillights and lots of additional features.
 
Speaking about the engine specifications, the India bound version will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, outsourced from the recently launched Karoq SUV. The engine is capable of boosting the power of 148 bhp and the torque of 250Nm. It will be mated with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox transmission system. It is expected to be priced in the bracket of Rs. 12 lakh to Rs. 18 lakh.
