Skoda Kushaq Offered With The Starting Price Of Rs 10.50 Lakh
Finally, after a long wait Czech carmaker, Skoda has made its debut in the compact SUV segment of the Indian car market. The carmaker launched its highly awaited compact SUV Kushaq in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 10.50 for the base variant. The top-end variant is priced at Rs 17.60 lakh (both the prices are ex-showroom prices). After launch in the Indian car market, the new Kushaq will compete against the key-players like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Renault Duster. It is the first model by the carmaker based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. This platform will be further used in some of the upcoming models by German carmaker Volkswagen.

Mechanically the Kushaq is offered with two petrol engine options of a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI, and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engine. The 1.0 three-cylinder engine is capable of boosting the power of 113 bhp and the torque of 175 Nm, whereas the 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine will generate the power of 148 bhp and the torque of 250 Nm. The transmission duties in the former engine configuration are performed by a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed automatic transmission system. The latter is mated with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
Inside the cabin, it receives dual-tone colour treatment. The company has tried to make the minimum use of black finish and chrome garnish on the interior front. With a boot capacity of 385-litres, it offers a comfortable seating experience to five passengers. The major features offered inside the cabin are a 10-inch infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, ventilated front seats, wireless mirror link, cruise control, two-spoke steering wheel, steering mounted audio controls, My Skoda Connect, wireless charter, auto-dimming IRVMs, and a few more.
On the exterior front, it receives a unique sleek macho look. On the front fascia, it adorns butterfly-shaped LED headlamps with LED DRLs, trapezoidal LED fog lamps. The rear side also receives LED taillamps. The base variant Active comes with 16-inch steel wheels and Lhotse full wheel covers. The Ambition trim receives Grus 16-inch alloy wheels, whereas the Style variant will be offered with 17-inch Atlas two-tone alloy wheels.
The list of safety features includes dual airbags, a three-point seatbelt for both front and rear-seat passengers, ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard features. The list of optional safety features are the Hill-Hold Control system, six-airbags, wipers, multi-collision braking system, auto headlamps and a few more.
