Sports Car Tata Racemo Wins German Design Award

Racemo the sports coupe designed by domestic car maker Tata Motors has won the German Design Award for International Excellence in “Exceptional Product Design” in the Gold category. The sports coupe was showcased for the first time during the 87th Geneva International Motor Show. The design of Racemo was developed by designing team of Tata Motors Studio in Turin, Italy. The Racemo continues the clue of car makers conventional Impact Design Philosophy that Humanity Line, Slingshot Line and Diamond DLO, thus giving the sports car the recognition of the car makers touch.

It would be interested to know that Tata Racemo is the first “phygital car” developed within the country comprising the features of both physical and digital worlds. The two seater sports coupe has been developed for the car enthusiasts who prefer to go adventure driving and want their car to equipped with latest technical features. The technical features offered in Racemo are powered by Microsoft and embellish the features like cloud computing, geo-spatial and mapping, analytics and many more. Racemo is the first Indian sports car that is equipped with the gaming platform Forza from Microsoft.

Overwhelmed from the success enjoyed by Tata Racemo, Pratap Bose, Head of Design, Tata Motors said, the winning the prestigious award like this within the short span of public debut is like reaching a milestone for the Tata Motors.
