Suzuki Swift 2015 to be empowered with new 1.2L Dualjet Petrol Engine
It is reported that the Japanese car maker Suzuki Motors is going to empower its hatchback Swift with new 1.2 litre petrol engine known as Dualjet, integration of this engine is expected to improve fuel efficiency figures by 16 percent and reduce auto emission upto 99g/km. Reports also reveal that this engine will however be introduced only in the version of Swift being sold in United Kingdom. The existing 1.2 litre petrol engine is capable of producing the power of 90 PS and torque of 94 PS, whereas the proposed 1.2 litre Dualjet engine will produce the same power but with enhance torque between 118Nm and 120Nm.
The car maker has already introduced the 1.2 litre Dualjet petrol engine in Japanese car market and now will go on for sale in U,K market from the beginning of next year. The engine uses twin fuel injectors per cylinder capable of generating enhanced compression ratio of 12.0:1. The engine also integrates auto start/stop function and matted with a gearbox with reversed ratios. As far as Indian car market is concerned it is sure that the car maker will not introduce the same engine in one of its highest selling hatchbacks and will continue with same engine configurations of 1.2 litre K series petrol and 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine.
