Suzuki Swift receives minimal updates
Suzuki Swift has been one of the best selling hatchbacks by Japanese car maker Suzuki Motors. However with changing time the hatchback underwent updates to keep it updated according to changing market scenario. Following the same trend the Japanese car maker has again introduced few facelifts in Maruti Suzuki Swift 2014. These changes will be offered in the models of Swift that will be developed from this month. The major changes offered in Swift Suzuki includes shift indicator and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitor System), LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) followed by fog lamps.
According to reports these updates will be offered only in the models of Swift that will be sold in United Kingdom and will not be offered in version of Swift being sold in Indian car market, as these updates might increase the price of hatchback. Apart from above mentioned upgrades company will also include DAB digital radio and navigation system in the models of Swift offered in United Kingdom. It would be interested to know that the version of Swift existing in UK car market already embellishes auto headlights, power folding mirrors along with turn iights, engine stop/start, cruise control, keyless entry, automatic air conditioner and various others.
As far as engine configuration is concerned that they will continue to be the same with any change. The engine offered in Swift model sold in global market is same as offered in Indian car market except the EURO5 and EURO4 difference. The Swift sold in Indian car market is EURO 4 while the version sold in international market is EURO 5. It would be however interested to know that in UK market the diesel variant is not much in demand and therefore car maker is speculating to phase out the diesel version of Swift from there.
