Tata Altroz Touches A Milestone Of Selling 1,00,000 Units
Domestic carmaker Tata Motors had despatched the 1,00,000th unit of its premium hatchback Altroz on Tuesday 28, September 2021. The company launched the Altroz back in January 2020 and achieved this milestone almost 20 months after its launch. Altroz is the first vehicle from the carmaker that is developed on Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture. Altroz has stormed the nation by its performance during the financial year 2021-22 and captured more than 20 per cent share in the market. In March 2021, the company sold 7,550 units of Altroz, followed by an average monthly sales of 6,000 units in FY22.

Commenting on the achievement of selling 1,00,000th unit, Rajan Amba, Vice-President, Sales, Marketing & Customer Care, PVBU, Tata Motors said, “The feat of the 1 lakh rollout is yet another testament to the success of the Altroz in a challenging segment like the premium hatchback. From becoming the official partner in IPL 2020 to being the lead car for some of India’s most prestigious marathon events to becoming the fitting choice of reward to our Olympians this year, the Altroz has won everyone’s hearts. With increasing recognition from Indian consumers and earning incremental market share, we are confident that Altroz is poised for even more success in the future.”
Under the hood, Altroz is available with three engine options including two petrol and 1 diesel engine. The petrol engine is offered with an option of a 1.2-litre Revotron and a 1.2-litre i-Turbo engine. The diesel engine comes equipped with a 1.5-litre engine. It hosts a plethora of features like iRA connected technology, Leatherette seats, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear AC vents, a seven-inch TFT digital cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control and a few more. The price of the base variant starts from Rs 5.84 lakh and goes high up to Rs 9.59 lakh. (Both the prices are ex-showroom prices in India).
