Tata Aria AT version coming soon
Tata Motors is all pumped up to introduce a new variant of Tata Aria that is potent enough not only to take on the market of Mahindra XUV500, but also swallow it. And that’s the Automatic Transmission (AT) incorporated Tata Aria, which was exhibited in concept form at the 2012 Auto Expo. The AT element is expected to be available in 2-wheel-drive and 4-wheel-drive variants. There will be several other new inside-out and technically advanced features that the capable crossover will sport along with elevation of around INR 80,000-1 Lakh in the existing prices of Aria.
This sort of feature is not offered by any vehicle in this segment and Tata Motors is looking to tap the same at the earliest. And this will undoubtedly increase the sluggish sales of the Tata Aria. The new 6-speed automatic gearbox will be mated to the retuned 2.2L DiCOR power-train that produces a decent 156 PS of maximum power combined with an increased peak torque of 400 Nm.

The exterior of New Tata Aria AT will feature smoked bezel headlamps and all clear tail lamps along with a new set of black-chrome sporty roof rails. Whereas, the premium interiors of catchy crossover is bestowed with Silver and Gold finished inner door handles, new steering wheel with mounted controls for infotainment and cruise control together with a captain seat at the rear. And to provide its consumers a feel of theater the cabin is surrounded by 10-speakers and amplifier of Harman make audio player that delivers sound in true High Definition (HD).
With all this, if integrated into the production version of Tata Aria AT, the premium SUVs likes New Toyota Fortuner and New Chevrolet Captiva 2.2 AT are sure to envy.
