Tata Discontinues Altroz XM, Adds XE+ In the Line-Up
Tata Altroz is one of the safest and bestselling hatchbacks in the country. Recently the domestic car maker Tata Motors introduced some minor changes in the existing line-up of the hatchback to bridge the gap between the prices of base XE trim and XM trim. Due to the significant difference between the prices of both these trims the company has introduced a new trim XE+ and has discontinued the XM trim.

The new XE+ trim is placed above the XE trims and comes with a few additional features like a Bluetooth Audio System, keyless entry, headlamps with follow me home and find me, electric temperature control, manually adjustable ORVMs, and a fast USB charger. However, at the same time, the newly-introduced trim misses certain features like a rear parcel shelf and wheel caps.
Under the hood, the Altroz is available with engine options of a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged Revotorq diesel engine. The petrol engine churns the power of 86 PS followed by the peak torque of 113Nm. The diesel engine develops the power of 90 PS and the torque of 200Nm. The transmission duties in both the engine options are performed by a five-speed manual gear transmission system. The Altroz is the tough contender of Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundi i20.
