Tata Harrier: Reasons To Buy The SUV

Showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2018, the Tata Harrier SUV from the homegrown car maker Tata Motors is one of the highly awaited vehicles scheduled for launch in the beginning of 2019. With domestic car maker already revealing the details about the SUV has succeeded in creating the buzz among the car enthusiasts across the country.  Therefore, now with few days left for this year to end, we are coming-up with the full details about the features and variants that would be introduced in Tata Harrier.
 
Tata Harrier Front Low View
 
Architecture and Engine: The Harrier SUV will be developed on Omega Arc platform, developed in the joint collaboration of Tata Motors and Land Rover, offering substantial knee and headroom to the rear seat passengers. Dimension wise the Harrier will have an overall length of 4,598 mm, height 2,741 mm with wheelbase, and width of 1,894 mm without wing mirrors. Under the hood, it will be offered in the diesel variant enriched with 2.0 litre Kryotec engine that is capable of churning the power of 138 bhp at 3750 rpm and the torque of 350 Nm at 1750-2500 rpm. The transmission duties will be performed by six speed manual gear transmission system. It would be offered with three driving modes including Eco, City and Sport.
 
Variants:  Available in diesel variant the Tata Harrier will be offered in four trims namely XE, XM, XT and XZ. The brief description of each trim is referred in the coming paragraphs.

Tata Harrier XE: Although, it will be the base variant of the SUV, but still it will be enriched with some remarkable features like projector headlamps, electronic ORVMs, DRLs that could also be used turn indicators, projector headlamps and rear parking sensors. Inside, the cabin it will be power tilt and telescopic adjustable power steering, power windows at both the front and rear portions. The fleet of safety features will include ABS+EBD and dual front airbags as standard safety features.
 
Tata Harrier XM: Along with the features offered in the base variant, the XM trim is embellished with the features like front fog lamps, follow me home function for headlamps, washer and the rear wiper.  Inside the cabin, the list of additional features will include seven inch touchscreen infotainment system four speakers and two tweeters, six way adjustable power seat, steering wheel mounted controls and many more. On the safety front besides the regular features offered in the XE variant, the XM trim will be equipped with rear parking sensors with the display on infotainment system, and remote central locking system.
 
Tata Harrier Interior
 
Tata Harrier XT: The top second trim of the Harrier SUV will be offered with the bunch of additional features on both the exterior and rear end. On the exterior front it will be equipped with auto headlamps, seventeen inch alloy wheels, rain sensing wipers, electronic foldable ORVMs, LED DRLs which could be also used as turn indicators. Moving, inside the cabin, it will be offered with eight speaker set-up, soft touch dashboard with anti-reflective ‘Nappa’ grain layer, rear armrest , eight way adjustable driver seat, reverse parking camera, cruise control and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Tata Harrier XZ: Apart from hosting the bunch of features offered on the exterior and interior of all the three above mentioned trims, the top end trim XZ will be offered with the features like cornering function for the foglamps, Xenon HID projector headlamps, shark fin antenna and logo projection in ORVMs. The list of interior features will include oak brown Benecke-Kaliko leather seats and door pad inserts, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob. The other interior features will include 8.8 inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, high-resolution display, fully digital seven inch TFT instrument cluster, nine JBL speakers, terrain response mode, rollover mitigation, electronic traction control, and corner stability control etc. The list of safety features will include six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts and few more.
