Tata Harrier: Some Facts To Know
Last few years have been really enthusiastic for the domestic carmaker Tata Motors, the initiative for this successful existence mainly goes to vehicles like Tata Tiago, Tata Tigor, Tata Nexon, and Tata Hexa. Now again, the carmaker is in limelight with its upcoming SUV Harrier and a hatchback codenamed as Tata X451. Both these vehicles were showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2018 as concept vehicles. Among both these vehicles, the company is ready to launch the Harrier SUV in January 2019 and has revealed some of its images, thus, giving a glimpse of the looks. According to the images leaked on the internet, it is witnessed that SUV will carry the same appearance as showcased during the Indian Auto Expo. In fact, according to the recent reports the company has even dispatched the first unit of Harrier from its production unit located in the Pune.

Now the company has revealed some more information about the specifications and the features that would be offered in the SUV. Therefore, depending upon the information provided by the carmaker, we are going to highlight these features, that what we can expect from Harrier and compare with other SUVs in the niche.

Design and Engine: The upcoming SUV is developed on “Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced” platform outsourced from the Land Rover D8 and developed in the joint venture with Jaguar Land Rover. Under the hood, it is empowered with Kryotec 2.0 litre, four cylinder, turbo diesel engine that is capable of boosting the power of 140 bhp. The engine has been outsourced from Italy based carmaker Fiat. According to the sources of company the SUV has been developed keeping the urban and rural driving conditions in concern. Along with the use of robust steel is used for enhancing the rigidness of the vehicle.
Interior: Till now nothing has been revealed about the features offered inside the cabin of Harrier, but still depending upon the information available online it is believed to offered with dual tone interior of grey and brown combination. Other features will include steering wheel of small diameters, dashtop touchscreen infotainment system, rotary drive selector and many more.

Exterior: On the basis of images captured by the spies the production unit has five spoke alloy wheels, high shoulder line, blacked out B-pillars, followed by C-pillar housing triangular quarter glass. The rear portion has a spoiler and thin wraparound tail lamps, raked windshield and dual tone bumper with silver insert at the rear portion.
