Tata Indica will not be replaced by Zica; Confirms Tata Motors
Denying all the erstwhile speculations, predictions and rumors regarding replacement of Indica eV2 hathcback with upcoming hatchback Zica by domestic car maker Tata Motors, it is now confirmed by car maker that going through the best performance of Indica in taxi segment, company will continue its sale in Indian car market. Whereas the proposed hatchback Zica would be launched to satisfy different needs of young car enthusiasts from their hatchback at competitive price.

Reported to be launched in both petrol and diesel trims which will be enriched with 1.2 litre Revotron petrol and 1.05 litre Revotorq diesel engine respectively. It would be interested to know that upcoming Zica is the first car by Tata Motors which is equipped with Revotorq diesel engine. The petrol trim will generate power of 84 bhp and torque of 115 Nm, while the diesel will develop the power of 69 bhp and torque of 140Nm. As far as pricing of Zica is concerned nothing has been so far officially reported by car maker but it is speculated to be priced falling between Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh. After launch in Indian car market the hatchback will be tough contender to i10 from HMIL, Beat from Chevrolet, Celerio from MSIL etc. With an objective to provide safe driving experience to buyers Tata has equipped Zica with contemporary safety features like ABS+EBD, dual airbags, rear parking sensors with infotainment screen, corner stability control and many more.

Developed in joint collaboration of Tata Motors Studios located in India, Italy and UK, Zica is the third product by car maker developed under Horizonext platform the earlier two being Zest and Bolt. With new cosmetic features Zica is endorsed to be one of the best looking cars developed by Tata Motors.
