Tata Introduces AMT System In Its Compact SUV Nexon
Domestic car maker Tata Motors has introduced AMT system in its new compact SUV Nexon launched last year. The AMT transmission system has been offered in the top end trim XZA+ and is offered with the price tag of Rs. 9.41 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi, for the petrol variant) and Rs. 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi for the diesel variant). The new AMT trim has been named as Nexon Hyperdrive S-SG and is offered with new Etna Orange color with a Sonic Silver dual-tone roof option. The AMT Nexon also embellishes three driving modes Eco, City and Sport.

The new Nexon AMT identically almost looks same as the other trims but bestows additional features like intelligent transmission controller, offering the benefits like anti-stall, kick-down and fast off. The other features offered in Tata Nexon AMT include Smart Hill Assist and crawling function. Along with all these features an interesting feature introduced in Nexon AMT includes wearable PEPS Key that facilitates the owners to put on their keys as wristband on their arm.
Under hood the AMT Nexon continues to be offered with the existing engine configuration of 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol and 1.5 litre naturally aspirated diesel engine option. The former boosts power of 108.5 bhp and the torque of 170 Nm while the later generates the power of 108.5 bhp and the torque of 260Nm. On the safety front it sports features like dual front airbags, ABS+EBD.
