Tata Kite finally to be named as Tata Zica

Finally home grown car maker Tata Motors has disclosed the name of its highly awaited hatchback christened as Kite rumored to be introduced in Indian car market in coming months. According to recent reports the Kite hatchback would be now named Zica and would be launched to compete against Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Suzuki Celerio. It is expected that domestic car maker will showcase that hatchback sometimes during next month and launch the same during second week of January 2016 along with compact sedan Kite.

Under the hood Zica would be offered in both petrol and diesel trims which would be empowered with 1.2 litre and 1.05 litre three cylinder engines respectively. The diesel variant will boost CRDi engine churning the power of 64.1 bhp and torque of 140Nm. Both the engines are reported to be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system, however it is also rumored that AMT system might be also offered in any of these variants.
 
According to rumors the hatchback will be priced below Rs. 4 lakh (ex-showroom price) and will host bunch of interesting features like steering wheel mounted control system with Tata’s badge marked on it, electronic ORVMs and rear defogger system. The other features are reported to be disclosed at the time of its launch or might leak in cyber world soon.
