Tata Launches Harrier With The Price Sticker Of Rs. 12.69 Lakh
Domestic carmaker Tata Motors has launched its highly speculated and awaited SUV in the Indian car market with a compatible price sticker of Rs. 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The SUV was showcased last year during the Indian Auto Expo as H5X concept. It is offered in four trims namely XE, XM, XT and XZ. The new SUV from the homegrown maker is developed on OMEGA platform outsourced from Land Rover Discovery Sport’s D8 and based on IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy. The Tata Harrier has been launched to compete against Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass. The company will start delivering the Harrier by the end of this month.

Mechanically, the Harrier is powered with 2.0 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine, that generates the power of 138 bhp and the torque of 350Nm. The transmission duty is performed by six-speed manual gear transmission system. The driving modes include Eco, City and Sport. According to the reports the company has equipped the front suspension with hydra bush outsourced from D8 platform, whereas the rear suspension system is embellished with rear twist blade system, strictly according to the Indian road conditions.

On the exterior front the Harrier receives floating roof followed by chrome garnish, dual function LED DRLs, eye catching wheel arches and many more. On the interior front it is equipped with 8.8 inch high-resolution touchscreen infotainment system, that supports connectivity with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. An interesting feature about Tata Harrier interior is the integration of ConnectNext App Suite, that facilitates the passengers to enjoy the features like video & image playback, voice alerts, voice recognition, sms readout and many more.
