Tata Launches Nexon In India, Priced Rs. 5.85 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi)
Finally the domestic car maker Tata Motors has launched its highly awaited sub compact SUV Nexon in Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 5.85 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) for the base variant. The top end variant has been priced Rs. 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Under the hood it has been offered in both petrol and diesel variants and offered in four trims namely XE, XM, XT and XZ+. It will be manufactured in the same plant of Ranjangaon where the production of Jeep Compass is being commenced. The Nexon SUV will be available with all the Tata Motors dealers across the country with immediate effect.

To begin with engine configuration the petrol variant is empowered with 1.2 litre three-cylinder turbocharged Revotron petrol engine. This petrol engine is turbocharged edition of the petrol engine offered in Tiago and Tigor and generates the power of 108 bhp at 5000 rpm and torque of 170 Nm with the rpm varying from 2000 to 4000. The diesel variant is empowered with 1.5 litre diesel engine that is capable of boosting the same power of 108 bhp at generated by the petrol variant but it take 3750 rpm develop that much of power, along with this it generates the torque of 260 Nm at rpm between 1500 and 2750. The transmission duties in both the variants will be carried out six speed manual gearbox system as standard feature.

The compact SUV Nexon is developed on the same impact design philosophy on which the recent vehicles launched by the car maker are developed. On the exterior front it receives projector headlamps, LED DRLs and tailamps followed by high defined infotainment display and multi driving option. This high defined infotainment also embellishes the facility of android auto play and apple car play. Along with this it is also equipped with eight speakers Harman audio unit. The dashboard receives dual tone treatment in form of black and beige color combination. The central console is equipped with audio and climate control knobs with black garnish. Moving ahead the interiors also receives height adjustment feature for both steering wheel and the driver.

After launch in Indian car market the Nexon will compete against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Honda WR-V and Mahindra TUV 300.
