Tata Launches Tiago NRG Hatchback With Starting Price of Rs. 5.5 Lakh
Domestic carmaker Tata Motors has launched the advanced version of its best selling hatchback Tiago in the Indian car market. Endorsed as the rugged version, the new version of Tiago has been christened as Tiago NRG and is offered with the starting price tag of Rs. 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The homegrown carmaker considers Tiago NRG as an urban toughroader, that is upgraded with a bunch of cosmetic changes and will compete with Maruti Suzuki Celerio X.

Under the hood, Tiago NRG is offered in both the petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant is empowered with 1.2 litre three cylinder Revotron engine that is capable of boosting the power of 84 bhp and the torque of 114Nm, while the diesel variant is enriched with 1.05 litre three-cylinder Revotorq engine that generates the power of 69 bhp and the torque of 140Nm. The transmission duties are performed by five-speed manual gear transmission system.
Talking about the appearance of new Tiago NRG it is tall, wide and lengthy than compared to the regular hatchback followed by an increased ground clearance of 180mm. Talking about the features it is embellished with black plastic cladding across the front and rear bumpers, wheel arches and side skirts. The rear bumper receives faux skid plate along with black finish on roof rails. Other features offered on the exterior front includes black grille, roof mounted spoiler and cladding on the tailgate. Inside, the cabin it receives black color treatment and few more.
