Tata Manza and Tata Vista discontinued from Indian car market
With domestic car maker Tata Motors getting ready to launch Zica hatchback and Sway sedan developed on same platform soon in Indian car market, on the other side it has phased out Vista hatchback and Manza sedan, ruling the taxi segment in Indian car market. The discontinuation of Manza and Vista was confirmed by Mr. Girish Wagh, Senior, Vice-President, Program Planning and Management for passenger cars at Tata Motors. The reason which at first instance comes out regarding phasing out these cars is due to their un-satisfactory sales as an impact of new cars in market. The same thoughts were shared by the sources of SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) stating that both Manz and Vista have recorded zero sales after June this year.

Going back to history of both these cars Tata Indica Vista was initially launched by car maker during Indian Auto Expo 2008 to compete against Hyundai i10 and Maruti Suzuki Swift. But, unfortunately the hatchback failed in receiving encouraging response from Indian buyers. On the other side Manza was introduced as the top end variant in Indigo sedan to compete against luxurious sedan like Honda City, but despite of serious endeavors it also failed to attract the Indian audiences.
