Tata Motors Dealerships Initiate Bookings For Punch CNG
Tata Motors dealerships have started receiving the bookings of CNG Punch ahead of its launch. The buyers can book the CNG Punch @ the token amount of Rs 21,000. The domestic carmaker showcased the CNG Punch during the Indian Auto Expo 2023. The company is readying to launch the Punch CNG in the Indian car market by the end of this month. According to reports the company has dispatched the CNG version of the Punch to its dealerships across the country. The Punch is the first "SUV" from the carmaker to receive the CNG variant. After the Altroz hatchback, Punch is the second vehicle from the carmaker to receive the twin-cylinder technology.

Speaking about the twin-cylinder technology, it can store two CNG cylinders of 30 litres. These cylinders are placed in the boot space, replacing the spare wheel below the vehicle. This, however, doesn't mean that there will be no boot space in Punch. The CNG version of the Punch will have sufficient space making it look different from others in the segment. Speaking about additional features, it will receive projector headlamps, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, ABS, six airbags, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, projector headlamps, and sixteen-inch alloy wheels.
As far as the power is concerned it will be powered with a detuned version of the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The same engine is available in Altroz hatchback boosting the power of 76 bhp and a torque of 97 Nm on the CNG variant. As far as the price and the average of CNG Punch is concerned they will be announced at the time of its launch. It is expected to receive a hike of Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000. As the company will launch it during the festive season, it is expected to receive an encouraging response from buyers. After launch in the Indian car market, it will compete with Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Renault Kiger and the recently launched Hyunder Exter.
