Tata Motors Launches Nexon EV Max In India
The homegrown car maker Tata Motors has finally launched the upgraded Nexon EV in the Indian car market. The upgraded Nexon EV Max is said to deliver an average of 437 km on a single charge and is priced in the range of Rs 17.74 lakh to Rs 19.24 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). In its new version, the 2022 Nexon EV receives the power from a new 40.5 kWh battery pack and receives a bunch of cosmetic and safety updates. It is avaialbe in two trims namely, XZ+ and ZX+Lux.
Speaking about the powertrain, it is equipped with a new 40.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and delivers an ARAI claimed average of 437 km (under standard driving conditions). It develops the power of 141 bhp and a peak torque of 250 Nm. According to company sources, it can touch the mark of 100 kmph in 9 seconds.
It is available in three driving modes namely Eco, City and Sport, followed by ZConnect 2.0 connected car technology. The ZConnect app embellishes 48 connected car features. The list of other features includes auto/manual DTC check, smartwatch integration, and driving analysis based on monthly vehicle reports. Moving ahead, the Nexon EV Max receives the Multi-Mode Regen feature with four regen levels according to the driving conditions. It also receives auto brake lamps which get activated after attaining a particular level of regen.
Appearance wise the new Nexon EV Max looks similar to its existing version, the only difference is the presence of the ‘Max’ logo at different spots. It will be sold in the line with its existing version. Some of the notable changes introduced inside the cabin include an upgraded centre console with a new rotary dial display unit to exhibit the driving mode and other features. Other features include Makarana beige interiors, Active Mode display, leatherette seats, wireless charging, IRVM and cruise control, and an air purifier.
