Tata Motors Makes Fun Of Mahindra & Mahindra Over XUV400
As the sales figures of the compact SUV Nexon EV by Tata Motors touch the mark of 35K units sold, the domestic car maker has made fun of its strong competitor, the upcoming Mahindra XUV400 EV. A post shared by Tata Motors on Instagram says 35,000>00, in this statement, the “00” mark is intended to refer to the upcoming XUV400 electric, which is ready for sale in the Indian car market from January 2023. It would be interesting to know, that it is not the first time, Tata Motors has taken a jibe at its competitors. Earlier also, the company has made fun of companies like Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Hyundai Motors for the safety features available in their cars.

It is important to remember that before Tata Motors, it was Mahindra which has made its entrance into the electric vehicles segment with the Reva hatchback. Unfortunately, Reva couldn’t enjoy the expected success, and Mahindra didn’t launch any new electric products in the market. On the other side, despite a slow start, Tata Motors launched a string of remarkable electric cars in India and became the leader.
According to reports, Tata Motors will start the deliveries of the Tiago EV hatchback with a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom price). This would be an introductory price for the first 20,000 buyers. The company plans to launch the electric versions of the mid-sized SUV Harrier and the micro SUV Punch in 2023.
As far as, the launch of electric vehicles from Mahindra is concerned, the domestic carmaker will launch a series of electric SUVs in the Indian car market in the coming years. The first one to make its entrance in India would be the XUV400, which is an electric version of the XUV300 being sold in India both petrol and diesel variants.
