Tata motors spotted a 41 per cent growth in November
The Indian automotive giant Tata motors, on Thursday reported a 40.64 % rise in its overall sales during the month of November as compared to the last year’s figures. Whereas the company sold 54,622 units in November, 2010, this year it stood at 76,823, which is in itself a record.
The homegrown brand did superbly well in each of its segment, sales of passenger vehicles marked 27,737 units from previous year’s 15,340 units making it a huge 80.81 % escalation.
Tata Nano, has been the one and only product which has seen a magical 12 fold leap, from last year’s 599 units sales to this year’s 6,401 units, once again proving the success story of India’s first ever smallest car.
Having sold 10,926 units over last year’s 5,716 units, Tata Indica has reported a growth of 91.15 percent, On the other end, Indigo has been one brand to have recorded comparatively lesser growth than other of Tata’s products. Indigo family could just manage to get a hike of 3.39 percent. A sum of 6213 units could have been sold against the last year’s 6009 units in the same month.
The company’s SUV segment, which includes Tata Safari, Sumo and Aria witnessed a growth of 35.13 percent by mounting the total sales unit to 4197 from last year’s 3106 in the corresponding period.
As far as the commercial vehicle segment is concerned, a sum of 44,737 units were sold this year as compared to 35079 units in the corresponding time last year, which is a precise hike of 27.53 percent.
Light commercial vehicles too spotted a growth of 40.72 %, Last year, where the total sold units were 20,376, this year it came up to 28,673, so as in the case of Medium and heavy commercial vehicles, having recorded a growth of 9.13 percent, the sales units stood at 16,046 compared to 14703 in November, 2010.
Tata motors have succeeded in raising its overall exports too by 3.47 percent, i.e. from 4203 units to this year’s 4349.
