Tata Motors testing Zest on Pune roads
After unveiling Tata Zest sedan at the recently concluded Indian Auto Expo 2014, it is for the first time that the initiative of Tata Motors has been witnessed being tested on Pune roads, although camouflaged. It would be interested to know that although the sedan was under covers but still spies succeeded in catching its look and according to them the Zest being driven for test was equipped with newly designed front fascia, which depicts that the Zest which will be launched in market might carry different look from the one which was showcased in Indian Auto Expo.
The Tata Zest will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants with petrol version be equipped with 1.2 litre Revotron engine developing the power of 84 bhp and torque of 140 Nm, while the diesel variant be powered with 1.3 litre Quadrajet engine. Both engines will be coated with five speed manual transmission system, however it is reported that company may also offer automatic manual transmission system in both variants.
Moving towards the changes found by spies the front fascia of Zest is bestows new grille followed by two horizontal chrome planks despite of honeycomb grille which were mounted on the model showcased during Indian Auto Expo. However the rear portion including tail lamps and looks seems to be the same. Industry experts believe that the final version of Zest which will be launched by company will carry all these newly introduced changes.
