Tata Motors To Launch Altroz DCT Turbo On January 13, 2021
With the arrival of New Year, all the major car manufacturers have started opening the cards about their new launches during the year. It is reported that the home-grown carmaker Tata Motors will commence its journey for 2021 by launching the Turbocharged version of its hatchback Altroz in the Indian car market on January 13, 2021. The hatchback has been spotted undergoing the test drives on several occasions. It is reported that some of the dealerships have also started receiving the booking for the DCT turbo Altroz at the down payment of Rs. 5,000.

Under the hood, Tata Altroz will be equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which is same as the one offered in the Nexon. The engine is reported to generate the power of 120 bhp and the torque of 170Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by a five-speed manual gearbox transmission system. According to the sources of the company, the new DCT system will be more affordable than the automatic gearbox. It is believed that the turbo engine will be offered in the top-end trims of Altroz.
As far as the cosmetic changes are concerned it will be identical to the existing version, except the “Turbo” badge studded on the rear profile and with a new blue colour option. Inside the cabin also it will be offered with the same features without any changes.After the launch of Tata Altroz DCT Turbo, the home-grown company will launch its highly awaited SUV Gravitas in the Indian car market and it will go in direct competition with the Mahindra XUV500. The generation next of XUV500 will be launched in April this year. The Tata Gravitas is said to be the enlarged version of the Harrier SUV with third-row seats.
