Tata Motors Updates Its Few Passenger Vehicles With BS6 Phase II Norms
The domestic carmaker Tata Motors has updated a few of its vehicles in accordance with BS 6 Phase II norms. The updated norms are introduced on all engine options, including petrol, diesel and CNG. With this update, the company has also extended its existing warranty period of two years or 75,000 kilometres (whichever is earlier) to three years or 1 lakh kilometres (whichever is earlier) on all its vehicles.

To begin with, the company has updated the performances of its premium hatchback Altroz and mini-SUV Punch with enhanced drivability at low speed. According to the company sources, with improved performance status, both vehicles will now offer a smooth driving experience to buyers. They now receive an engine start-stop function as a standard feature. Along with this, the company has also tweaked the noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels of both of these vehicles.
Moving to the best-selling compact SUV Nexon, the homegrown carmaker has tweaked its diesel engine with improved performance. The company has also silently launched two new trims XZ+ Lux and XZ+Luxs in the diesel variant. The XZ+ receive the features like ventilated front seats, an air purifier, auto headlamps and wipers, leather upholstery, iRA-connected car technology and cruise control. The XZ+ Luxs receives an additional update in the form of a sunroof along with the new features offered in XZ+ trims.
The company has also updated Tiago and Tigor with a new tyre pressure monitoring feature. The warranty on both these cars has also been revised from 2 years/75,000 km to 3 years/1 lakh km.
