Tata Nexon, the sub compact SUV from domestic car maker is reported to be seen undergoing the test drive on Indian roads, after it showcase recently during the Geneva Motor Show 2017. According to reports received from the spies the unit of Nexo spotted was completely disguised due to which it was not able to detect the features that would be adorned in the compact SUV, but one thing which could be witnessed from the unit was that it looked like the final version of Nexon which will be launched by the company sometimes during the Diwali this year.

 

 

Mechanically the Nexon will be empowered with 1.5 litre Revotorq engine that will be mated with six speed manual gear transmission system. As far as other features are concerned the Nexon will embellish all those features that were witnessed in its prototype that was seen in Geneva. However, on the basis of pictures leaked in cyber world from Geneva, it is reported to receive LED taillamps with 3D element, roof mounted spoiler, floating roof design and an enlarged bull sized rear bumper. This, trim although looks like the base variant of the compact SUV, as it only has steel wheels and plastic cladding across the wheel arches.

 

Additional features that will be offered in Nexon include chrome garnished “Humanity Line” on the front grille equipped with projector lamps, LED DRLs along with LED foglamps, roof- rails, dual tone exterior and many more. Inside the cabin, it adorns multiple utility spaces in form of holder for bottles and cups, laptop and iPad trays, handbag hangers etc, indicating the integration of contemporary features being introduced in the vehicles manufactured by the domestic car maker. 

 

The sub- 4 meter SUV is one of the highly awaited vehicles in the Indian car market which made its first appearance as concept vehicle during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 and then as production unit at the Indian Auto Expo 2016.
