Tata Nexon EV To Undergo First Facelift
Tata Nexon EV, one of the best-selling electric cars by the domestic carmaker Tata Motors is all set to undergo its first facelift. According to reports, spies have captured the prototype of the facelift Nexon EV, undergoing the test drive on Pune roads. The model used for a test drive was fully covered without giving a single glimpse of its looks. It is rumoured that the Nexon EV 2022 will receive a large battery to offer a long driving range. An official statement about this is yet to come from the company. Industry experts believe that if it is true, then the new battery pack will deliver an average of 400 km on a single charge.

The existing Nexon EV receives the power from Tata’s Ziptoron EV technology with a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. This battery churns the power of 127 bhp and a torque of 245Nm. It comes with a warranty of 8 years. At present, it is priced in the range between Rs 14.24 lakh and Rs 16.85 lakh (both the prices are ex-showroom prices). It is speculated that the 2022 Nexon EV will be priced above this range.
Speaking about the changes offered in the upcoming Nexon EV, it will continue with the existing elements of Humanity line faux grilled integrated with dual-beam LED headlamps and LED DRLs. Some of the changes like new diamond-cut alloy wheels may be offered to its side-profile. The rear portion will not receive any change.
Inside the cabin, there will be no change and will continue to come with the same seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, that supports connectivity with a smartphone, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch TFT display. Other features include multiple airbags, cornering stability control, ABS+EBD with ISOFIX child seat anchors, auto climate control and a few more.
