Tata Nexon spied under test drive
After successful launch of Tiago hatchback in Indian car market by domestic car maker Tata Motors, car enthusiasts are keenly waiting for its upcoming sub compact SUV Nexon which has been captured on several occasions going through under test drives. The regular testing of Nexon grapevine’s that car maker is soon speculating to launch same in Indian car market at the earliest. First showcased as a production concept during Indian Auto Expo 2014 and then as final unit during 2016 Indian Auto Expo, the compact SUV has undergone various drive tests. Unfortunately every spied unit was camouflaged without giving any indication about its actual look.

It is gossiped to be offered in both petrol and diesel mulls which will be empowered with 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol and 1.5 itre diesel engines and mated with five speed manual gear transmission system along with F-Tronic AMT system in diesel variant as offered in Zest. Earlier it was reported that diesel variant will be energized with out sourced 1.3 litre engine from Fiat.

According to company sources the SUV will carry most of its looks similar to Land Rover Ranger Rover Evoque whereas inside the cabin it will carry looks similar to Zest followed by newly developed dashboard, three spoke steering wheel with company’s logo marked over it, new instrument cluster, horizontal AC vents and rotary controlling system for HVAC system. Spies have reported that from the exterior view it seems to carry look like Indica hatchback. After launch it will compete against recently launched Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV 300 and Ford EcoSport.
