Tata Safari Announced As Official Partner Of IPL 2021
Domestic carmaker Tata Motors had successfully reintroduced the Safari SUV in the Indian car market this year in February. In its new avatar, the Safari is empowered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Kryotic diesel engine that churns the power of 175 PS and the torque of 350Nm. The transmission duties are performed by a six-speed manual gear transmission system. There is also an option of a six-speed manual gear transmission system. The base variant of Safari is offered with the starting price of Rs. 14.69 lakh while the top-end variant is priced at Rs. 21.45 lakh (both the prices are ex-showroom prices).
According to new updates, the home-grown carmaker has announced the Safari will be the official partner of the upcoming Indian Premier League 2021, scheduled to commence from April 9, 2021, in Chennai. It is consistently for the fourth year that Tata Motors is joining hands with the Board of Control for Cricket in India. This year instead of organizing the tournament at different locations all the matches will be played in six major cities – Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ahmedabad. The final of the tournament will also be played in Ahmedabad.
Speaking on the company’s association with BCCI, Mr Vivek Srivatsa, Head – Marketing, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU), Tata Motors, said, “This year’s IPL is a special one for us as the tournament has made its way back to its Indian venues after a difficult year. The excitement of the 2021 tournament will be a notch higher as cricket lovers in India look forward to welcoming the illustrious league back to their home stadiums. We are thrilled to be contributing to this excitement with the renewal of our fruitful association with BCCI, for the fourth consecutive year. The new Safari has received a great response especially with respect to its premium design, best in class features and outstanding comfort by customers and it is making its IPL debut in this new avatar. We are working on innovative plans to garner the viewers’ attention, as they tune in from across the country to support their teams. We are positive to drive tremendous value from this association and hope to share the joy of celebrating our favorite sport and cricket league with the fans yet again”.
