Tata Safari Storme launch on Oct 17, bookings on

The Tata Safari Storme is coming on October 17 just a day after the Indian car market will receive its second most sensational small car by Maruti – Maruti Alto 800. The Storme will be more like the Safari in looks but will have a different platform giving it much sturdiness and maneuverability than the present generation Safari. It is believed that this new SUV will be the most sensation launch by Tata that has till now remained mum after the initial unveil of the Storme during the Auto Expo this year. The Safari Storme price speculations are on the rise and there are different opinions about it. Some suggest that in order to take on the Renault Duster and the upcoming SUVs – Ford Ecosport and Maruti XA Alpha, Tata will price it much below Safari while some suggest that the Safari Storme is bound to have some price appreciation because of the Tata Aria platform.

Whatever be the price of Safari Storme, it is highly anticipated and people have deferred their car purchase till mid of October following the series of launches ahead. Also the inauspicious days are in and these will remain for a fortnight. After this period, the real car buying will begin and the industry will see some action. The new Safari as it is also called will be available with a lot of features and thus in all probability its price will be a little higher than the Safari. It is said that the Tata dealers have already begun taking bookings for the Storme SUV and deliveries will begin as soon as it is launched on October 17.  

The existing generation of Safari is already struggling for sales as there are more lucrative offerings such as the Renault Duster, Mahindra XUV 5OO and Mahindra Quanto are in place. Also Maruti Ertiga has also eaten a large share of Safari sales in India.
