Tata Safari Storme launched at Auto Expo
The leading Indian automaker, Tata Motors has successfully made a significant impression on buyers and exhibitors in India’s biggest Auto Expo, wrapped up on 5th January 2012. The all new Tata Safari Storme SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) has been displayed on Thursday successful in getting maximum gathering and appreciations. The vehicle is expected to be launched in the financial year of 2012-13 and will be priced between Rs 12-13 lakh for 4X2 variant and Rs 14-15 lakh for 4X4 top end variant.
The most popular Tata Safari is well-recognized for its outstanding performance and practical driving experience. The sporty manifestation with spacious accommodation space makes it a good deal. It has new X2 platform adaption from Aria. The two chrome-tipped exhausts at rear, bright projector headlights, prominent chin with sexy bonnet, and front bumper with fog lamps, square-shaped grille and large chrome bar on number plate look wonderful.
The interior of the Tata Safari Storme has been designed to bring a royal comfort and luxurious drive, despite the heavy traffic jams. There is a purposeful dashboard having lots of plastic ‘wood’ work. It is a seven seater SUV having enough boot space, head room and elbow room. This New Tata Safari has got the conventional side facing jump seats in the boot space, i.e. 2 + 3 + 2 configuration.

The wheelbase of Tata Safari Storme is relatively short with better handling. Unlike its main competitor Mahindra XUV 500 SUV (a low ratio 4X4), the four wheel drive Tata Safari Storme comes with a low ratio gearbox. Gracing with 2.2L 16-valve common rail engine mated to five-speed manual transmission delivers a maximum power of nearly 140bhp and a peak torque of 320Nm.
